Hi, I’m Kristen.

I help adult individuals heal from painful past experiences that continue to impact them in the present. 

I care deeply about helping people who feel a little different or broken. If you often absorb everyone else’s emotions, put the needs of others above your own, push yourself to get everything just right, or have been told, “you’re too sensitive,” - there’s a reason for that, and it’s not because there is something wrong with you.

My job is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood. I will help you understand more about how your nervous system learned to respond to stress, and more importantly, how we can help it to change - so you can feel more comfortable, confident, and whole.

  • If you're feeling stuck in old patterns - like people-pleasing, procrastination, perfectionism, or shutting down - I use gentle, trauma-informed approaches to help you heal. We’ll work together to lighten the heaviness you’ve been carrying all on your own, reconnect with the parts of you that need care and nurturing, and help you to feel safer, more grounded, and more like you again.

  • If you often feel disconnected - from your body, your emotions, or even from parts of yourself - you’re not alone. Dissociation is a natural response to overwhelming experiences. I use a combination of attachment-focused methods and parts work (Ego State Therapy) to gently support you to feel safe in your own skin. Together, we’ll create safety at a nervous system level, help you feel more present, and rebuild trust with the parts of you that had to disconnect to survive.

  • Chronic pain can take a real toll - not just on your body, but on your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. I have experience working with chronic pain and chronic health conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, lupus and other autoimmune disorders - and use advanced EMDR techniques specifically targeting overactive pain signals in the nervous system. Together, we’ll work to help reduce your pain, process what your body has been holding, and support healing from the inside out.
